She later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University in Bhilai, graduating as a gold medalist.

Driven by a desire to serve her nation, Ankita embarked on the challenging path of preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination. After her MBA, she initially moved to Delhi for coaching but returned to Chhattisgarh after six months to continue her studies independently. Despite facing setbacks in her first two attempts—failing the mains in her first and not clearing the prelims in her second—her unwavering determination led her to success in her third attempt in 2018, where she secured an All India Rank of 203.
Career and Postings
Upon completing her training, Ankita was appointed as the Circle Superintendent of Police (CSP) at Azad Chowk in Raipur. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in “Operation Clean,” leading to the seizure of 700 kg of ganja. She later served as the Additional Superintendent of Police (Naxal Operations) in the Naxal-affected Bastar district, becoming the first woman to lead such operations in Chhattisgarh. In May 2022, she was appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai districts, where she has been instrumental in establishing the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and setting up new Naxal camps.
